Chris is a native Vermonter, currently residing in Middletown Springs. He considers himself a late bloomer, although he's been drawing all of his live. "Rustical", is the word he uses, combining the words rustic & mystical, which he feels best describes his artwork. Although most of what he paints is not real, you have to look twice to realize it. His use of exaggerated angles & vibrant colors draw you in & leaves you wondering if such a place really does exist. When it comes to being creative Chris wants to try it all. He enjoys fresh ideas & loves working on unique shapes as he feels they spark creativity. He enjoys exploring the interaction between a three dimentional form, (painting support), & a two dimentional composition, (the concept). Together they have the potential of being greater than their individual parts. He feels that success in creating comes from the doing & the rest is business. Most of what he draws exists only in thought, although some would love to visit this wonderful world that he has created. When asked, "How do you feel about your art?" He replies, "Pure enjoyment, a spirtual connection. It's hard to see where I'm going. My work is ever changing. That's what keeps it fun."
